Family Reading Night

Once a month | 5:30 - 7:30

Once a month, students and their families are invited to WCMC for Family Reading Night. Families share a meal, enjoy fun activities, and spend time reading together. This special evening helps strengthen reading skills and encourages connection within a supportive community.

Super Saturday

Any saturday | 12:30Pm - 3:00pm

This fun afternoon event is planned and implemented by groups of volunteers. After eating lunch at 12:30, our neighborhood children and the volunteers enjoy crafts, games, and other wholesome activities until 3:00 pm.

Technology Program

Tuesday/Thursday | 3:30 - 5:30

This enrichment program meets twice a week during the school year and is led by Michael Beck, Founder and CEO of Code for Kids. Students are introduced to coding, robotics, drones, 3D printing, video editing, and green screen technology.

Through hands-on learning, the program equips students with valuable skills for a high-tech world and helps spark interest in future technology-related careers.

Garden Club

Led by Christina Mathews, Garden Club offers monthly hands-on activities in the People’s Community Garden across from WCMC. Students enjoy planting, harvesting, making wreaths and flower crowns, and creating fun garden-inspired art projects while learning and growing together.

Discovery Trips

Periodic trips take children outside the Over-the-Rhine neighborhood to explore new places, ideas, and experiences beyond their community. Past trips have included visits to COSI, the Cincinnati Museum Center, Eden Park, the Cincinnati Zoo, and the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center.
