Junior Assistant Program

Mon - Fri | After School & Summer Camp

The Junior Assistant program is a job training program for teens in our high school program. Students between the ages of 14 and 18 who are actively involved in our High School program can be nominated for a Junior Assistant position. This program provides a paid job opportunity to our students who may continue to develop with Wesley Chapel.

The Junior Assistant program offers a nurturing place for students to strengthen their soft skills, gain confidence, and build self-esteem by doing something positive while earning an hourly wage. Working alongside our adult staff, they help with snacks, academic support, cleaning, engaging with kids, leading games, and being a role model.

One of our previous Junior Assistants spoke about their time as a “J.A.”, “The program taught me teamwork and how to get along with others as well as how to communicate better.”

The Junior Assistant program is a stepping stone into real-world opportunities. We hope to see all of our Junior Assistants transition to full-time employment or post-secondary education.
